Need help identifying unknown radio
I have a truck that has a radio in it that im not sure what it is. The mic on the radio has a numbered key pad on it. The radio is made by Fujitsu Ten and the model number is ftm15-355at. Its not hooked up so I cant power it up and see what it is yet. I will try and get a picture later and post but if anyone has any info on this and what its for I would appreciate it. Thanks

I guessed UHF because of the DTMF mic. If I recall you can only run UHF business band autopatch, maybe they used the mic for something else?
DTMF means Dual Tone Multi Function. Meaning it makes telephone tones when you hit the button. Allowing you to use autopatch. Autopatch meaning making 1/2 duplex telephone calls on a repeater that has the ability.
I havent programmed business radios for years. Ive never seen your type. I have really only programmed Motorola, like the P110, or HT 1000. Some maxtrax, and radius mobiles as well. They were all computer programmed, with software, and cables.
Id really think your freq coverage could be very close to what your asking about with the right program. But Im only guessing again as Ive never seen that radio before.

I investigated some more and found that this radio was used as a phone system. I did some more searching and was able to find a website that lists the output as 35 watts and the transmit and receive frequency range as 148-174 mhz. I will try and power it up tomorrow and see if I can figure anything else out. It might be some use to someone if it can be programmed but if not, its probably useless.

The first big monsters like that in my area were 800 MHz cordless phone radios which almost exclusively used the CN tower which provided exceptional coverage into and around the city. The only problem was that no more than 40 people could talk at one time and when the 800 MHz scanners came out all of a sudden there was no more privacy (not that there was any before that!).
I don't recall any that I have seen which have DTMF pads on the mic like that (remember we are talking mid 70's here). The DTMF stuff came out in the mid 80's and the mic sometimes looked like one of those payphone handsets with the buttons on it. They were still experimenting with micro cells and stuff at that time which made mobile use of the phone worse than it was before in an attempt to increase user numbers.
That's an awesome find, surprised it is still alive too.

Sure that isn't a 15-3556AT? If so, it's a vhf radio- business class made by Fujitsu Ten.
