hey guys first post on here, not my last though: i have decided to upgrade to a "bigger" radio and was looking at the galaxy 88, can i have some suggestions from the group as a comparable radio or maybe another option i can consider? appreciate it... 907 bluegrass state mobile off the key.... :Peace!:
my set up is: cobra 29 classic(1994 edition)
wilson 5000 magnet mount
texas star 250hd
Galaxy 88's have been discontinued, still in stock at alot of the shops,,,really good radio,,another big talkers are the General Lee, Connex 3300hp, Galaxy 45mp ect.....any of these will drive your Texas Star well
if heard good things about the GENERAL LEE, they have extra channels in'em don't they??? hi,low, or side bands?? then i'm thinking, might just buy a bigger amp, palomar 450 or 600, i don't know....MERCY SAKES..
The general Lee has 6 bands with 40 channaels on each band. Great radio, I have one hooked with a DaveMade 2x 4, I stomp all over mud ducks all day long and talk all kinds of skip on it as well.
