Question about Meters..
I've got a 35amp power supply- 500 watt boomer box. when i run my Galaxy 2547 with boomer box my meters are showing around 450 watts...But when i run my Cobra 2000 with boomer box my meters show around 150 watts output.....Have both radios set on a 2watt deadkey and my swr's are at a 1.3. Curious if my meters are acting up or if this is a problem that i need to fix?

Re: Question about Meters..
Id say your galaxy swings alot higher than your 2000. What do the radios swing to?

Re: Question about Meters..
A radio can produce harmonics and or spurious emissions that can have adverse effects on a meter. Have you tried some RMS readings and not peak?

Re: Question about Meters..
Since you don't have the equipment to do the adjusting (or the knowledge) the best advice anyone can give you is to leave it alone. It isn't doing anything wrong.
