Is that a question or a statement?

That would be more than 2 wavelengths on 11 meters.
A beam would really play good for DX up there.
Just plan it correctly so the Tower stays up and the beam.
In other words, do it right.
Height is way more often than not a big boost in DX'ing.

80' Tower is pretty dang tall...Better make sure with your City it's not too tall! I know here we have a 40' limit, anything above that and you have to apply for a special permit and get it registered with the City...And they may or may-not approve it.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I have 70' of tower up, but I live in a holler. If you live out in the flatland, or up on a knoll, I wouldn't worry too much about that kind of height to be honest.
"In general" The higher you mount your beam antenna, the more gain you'll see, and the main lobe will be at a lower angle of radiation. Don't be concerned with "wavelengths", nothing special happens at 36' or 72', just put it as high as you can safely do and you'll be happy.
BTW "In general" Horizontal beams do better at lower heights than vertical beams, but both work DX sufficiently.
