Ok guys I am pulling hair out trying to figure this one out . I have real bad ignition noise on the mobile. I have bonded just about every thing I can think off. It has gotten better but makes radio almost unusable still. Any ideas I am willing to try anything right now. If you need some more info let me know

I've always heard grounding the exhaust helps but why the exhaust and is it not grounded already? I may try it myself.

You describe it as ignition noise... I wonder if it could be alternator or fuel pump instead. We need to try an isolate the source of the noise first. The noise goes away when the vehicle isn't running, correct?
For me it was the fuel pump, a small capacitor across the fuel pump cured most of the noise. A ground strap on the exhaust pipe also helped slightly.

Well you found your own problem, high performance ignition systems and radios don't mix. I would contact MSD Ignition, http://www.msdignition.com/ , and ask what can be done to eliminate or at least reduce the spark chatter. I am guessing that you are running resistor plugs and new suppression wires.

Don't give up yet. When you disconnect the antenna (leave the MSD unit hooked up), do you still hear the ignition noise in the radio?

Okay, we can give some advise then. Just a couple questions,
How is the radio wired?
Antenna location? Did you check/adjust the SWR? How is the radio mounted?

Okay, so it is the MSD unit since you said it doesn't do it when unhooked. First thing to try would be to ground (bond) the MSD box, it has a positive and negative lead but the negative just is for the circuitry in the unit and not a ground for the box itself. You said you used the cap that MSD recommended, that will do little to help. There is also the possibility that the unit is bad. Next it could be a bad rotor in the distributor, too much gap to the contacts, arching inside the distributor cap. It could be happening when using the MSD, but not with the stock system, take the cap off and check it, wash out any debris with water, give it a light spray of WD40 and wipe or blow it dry, a dab of dielectric grease on the center contact. We know it's not the wires and the plugs if it doesn't happen when unhooked.
