Whats the difference Turner +2, +2 SSB

#364909

Post by lkaskel »

Hey Gang,
I am setting up a system and I broke out my old Turner +2 SSB mic and it is not working. When I started to take it apart to find out why some of the wires attached to the circuit board came off the board. I cannot find a schematic for it but I did find one for a Turner +2. Does anyone know the difference between the two? I also looked on Ebay as I am considering buying one to use it as an example or parts and I am finding both mics as well. If anyone knew the difference then I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone had a +2 SSB schematic or a broken one they wanted to get rid of that is great as well.

Thanks so much!!!!
Larry
I wish I never got rid of my old equipment........

Usually the mic element is slightly different between the SSB and regular mic's, they also added a cap to hinder the squeal if it would have any, other than that they are the same. If you do find a schematic post it so we all can share.

Yes, no difference. Just a cap added.

Nice little mics, I've even got one. I use it as a trusty backup for my Turner Plus Three and my D-104.

As compared to some other radio outfits "great whites"...... my outfit is just a mere "sea trout".

Be careful to replace ALL of the electrolytic caps in your mic too. PM me if you have questions.
