I'm just curious if there are many of us who drive cars out there, or if most are truckers or commercial drivers....

Thanks!

most people who never drove a big truck have no idea what's it's like.. thats just the way it is.. they just dont get it that when your behind them hauling 80,000 lbs & they stop suddenly, that you cant.. & the wide turns...lol i have come face to face with people,, i look right at them thru our windshieds.. i'm like you have to back up for me to get around this turn.. then i glance at my 48 ft trailer & look back at them like can you please understand i have to go in your lane to make this turn. then they back up 5 feet.. lol i just throw my arms up. lol u need to back up a lil farhter than that.. sometimes i think my trailer is invisible they think i'm just bobtailing thinking i can make some of these turns. oh well.. thats the way it is..god bless those who are considerate to us truckers[/b]

Don,t know how I miss this one. Troy you ain't kidding about wide turns. You come to a light or corner and there is a car 3 feet across the white line. It"shard enough to turn 53 footer with all the lane let alone someone across the line. There have been several times I had to almost have their front end under my trailer to get them to back up.

When i started driving with a Bob Tail dump truck pulling a 30ft bob tail trailer hauling a bob cat i had a heck of a time making tight turn's let alone backing up into a tight alley or a small gate . But i enjoyed the thrill of being behind the wheel of a 2005 peterbuilt . I only drove that for 2 wk's the company owner started to RIP me off on money and kept promising i could take the truck to do my road test . But i got spooked 1 time and that's all it took . Driving on a CDL A permit and being alone with a Trooper watching you isn't very good .
