ok so i check my swr with the amp off it's about 1.2 than i turn it on and it jumps up to 1.5. and on 40 it's about 1.1 and on 1 about 1.4 i know i need to do some adjusting. it's just hard to get up there to do that.

if your flat on 40 and up on 1 it needs to be about 1 inch longer

what the swr at say 27.505 ??

Those SWR's don't sound too bad to me. I'd leave it until next time you take it down to service it. Heck, my old beams ran around 1.1:1 all the way up to 1.7:1 depending on frequency and whether or not I was running dual polarity. Never had any problems...even with amps inline.
