Low or High Power
Just wondering why is it I can get people to respond to radio checks while my General Lee is on low power but hardly no one will answer me on high power? Is it just that strong that they think I'm just showing off? Well maybe I am a little. I never use to talk alot with my uniden just listened. With the "general" I seem to be jumping into conversations more often. Must have something to do with be SWPed!!!!!
I know that there are a lot of drivers out there that can't hear your radio check because they can't hear most higher power radios within a close range. you are just blowing right by them. you have to remember that to most, they have a radio only because they have to, they just buy a cheap radio and antenna setup and go with it. They won't even attempt to set the SWR's. I would hazard a guest that half of all drivers even have their radio on, till they see a traffic tie up then want to jump on the air and ask whats going, when everyone else has been talking about it for ten miles.
Just my opinion.
Just my opinion.
