Keying up with no antenna

I'm still waiting for my Double Bazooka (ordered it on Sunday and they didn't ship it until today ) but I hooked everything else up today and ran the antenna cable. I turned the radio on to make sure the power supply worked and accidentally keyed the mike for a split-second

The speaker hummed and the lights dimmed way down for that split-second but the radio still seems to work.... I don't dare key the mike again!

Did I wreck it?

I'm rather peeved at Radiowavz. Their web site says shipping is included in the price, but when I placed my order, I was given a choice of three shipping options. Oh, well, I selected three-day guaranteed UPS Ground, figuring I'd have it by today. I got an email from them today saying it had been shipped TODAY by USPS, no less! Arrgh!

Good advice, stickman. I'll "stick" to it in the future (I did get my Wilson 5K from G I Joe's....)
