Check out the LP-100A Digital Vector Wattmeter, get the 2 channel just in case you want to add VHF/UHF, be prepared for price shock.

There were a few companies in the past that had a led bar for SWR and power, Palomar M-827 was one, Palomar had others too, you'll see them on that auction site once in a while and Bombero made a post about one by MFJ, http://www.cbradiotalk.com/vi ... =5&t=48167 , looks interesting.

Digital is good for some things, like a digital multi meter, when measuring a steady state.

However when you are measuring something that changes such as power under modulation or varies due to power supply drop analog can't be beat.

I have a vintage Hickok digital I use. But I'd rather use a BIRD. *wink*

I've seen digital wattmeters fry!

I have both digital and analog. I really prefer the analog. Both are accurate and both have there pro's and con's. Analog, to me is better when using side band.
