Predator dual coil disassembly question???
Anyone have any ideas on how to change the lower shaft on a predator dual coil without damaging the coils?
Re: Predator dual coil disassembly question???
Use some pliers to reach between the coil and grab the insulator. Wrap the jaws of the pliers in electrical tape or wrap the insulator with the tape or a rag.

The pliers will work but a pair of strap wrenches would be nice.

I've always used a pair of vice grips...place rag around insulator first, then grip...use a wrench or another pair of vice grips on the shaft and turn counter clockwise...
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I figured that was the only way. I tried with some channel locks but no luck. I'll have the bear down with some vice grips.. wish me luck lol
