Side mic cobra 25 Classic
I need some help here I have a like new cobra 25 side mic radio that the channel selector won't light up . I put a new channel selector board in it and still won't light up what could be causing this

There isn't any voltage going to it only the little light that changes went you key the mic works

Forgot to mention there is no voltage on the bright and dim switch either

more than likely you have a bad solder joint or a broken trace. if you will look at the schematic on the lower left side you will see where the feed to the lamps and led read out is right off the power switch. you said no power to the bright and dim switch either. so just start tracing the power on the parts in the schematic.

look for a shorted cap or diode in the circuit with R84 or solder blob or even a trans.

I tested the transistor on the side of the chassis and it is good

I have looked everywhere for a splatter of solder I don't see anything so I will keep it for parts I don't know how to read a schematic I never could figure it out anyway thanks
