Humming
When I talk on the radio people on the other side say I have a humming in there when I'm talking that with or with out the amp on and its not the mic gain I turn it all the way down don't help. My SWR are 1.3 to 1.4 cant figure why this would be happening.

Re: Humming
What radio?
Some radios that have the back-lit face plate will do that...there is a fix, it involves taking the cover off and pulling wires to the face plate lights away from the wires hooked to the mic jack.

One of the locals here has an aquarium pump right next to the radio.

Re: Humming
If your equipment is all sitting on the same bench or desk you might want to get some "non slip drawer liner" to place under it, that will help stop the vibration of the transformer being picked up by the microphone. It comes in a roll and you can cut it to size needed.

Re: Humming
That is a good idea I still probably going to do that. I had the variable power to low on the amp and the radio turned up to high I reversed it works fine now. Thanks for the info guys.

Re: Humming
I get that as well when I have one of those phone chargers plugged in the wall, or power supply for computer speakers..Mine would do it, then change radio's, it would do it..So that's what I found out no hum when I unplugged them..
