Cobra 25 ltd st
Evening All, I purchased a cobra 25 LTD st from America and I want to convert it to uk channels. I know where the solder link is to enable me to do that part but there is no EU/UK switch to change it to AM/FM. Any help much appreciated.

Re: Cobra 25 ltd st
Hmm, I'm not sure the USA version has the FM circuitry because of the FCC type acceptance.

I agree, it will work on AM only, and I don't know about switching them to any European channels. I believe it may be possible that the PLL circuitry might have a simple solder trace change which might put it on different channels but I can't say for sure. It definitely won't switch over to FM, though.

There are UK and GR versions of the Cobra 25LTD but the PCB's are completely different than the US version.MDYoungblood wrote: Nov 09 2018, 14:36 Hmm, I'm not sure the USA version has the FM circuitry because of the FCC type acceptance.

Many Thanks for the replies, I will see if there is an FM board that can be fitted to the cobra with a switch included.

That wouldn't be very likely at all. It is a completely different animal. You will have to look for a different radio.tegsy wrote: Nov 10 2018, 03:04 Many Thanks for the replies, I will see if there is an FM board that can be fitted to the cobra with a switch included.
