USB Mic

#392128

Post by Norrad »

Hey all,
I've been doing some searching and have not found what I'm looking for. I have a nice USB microphone that I would like to use. Does anyone know of an "adapter" so to speak that I can plug the mic to and wire to my radio?

Thanks,
Rich

I don't think I have ever seen an adapter but look through the ham radio websites there might be one by MFJ or West Mountain that the mic can be hooked to your computer on laptop and that be connected to your radio. Those PC mic's use a electret element that needs a 5v power source so it can't be just connected directly.

just buy a real mic, they are cheap enough these days for a decent sounding one, sure, akg, audio technica etc. dont wast your time messing with a cheap usb mic
