RCI 2980 SWING
My friend has a "used" RCI 2980. I have tried to align the radio and achieve a 3 watt to 25 watt swing. Radio DK's 3 watts only swinging 7. I have worked on radio's for years and i'm stumped on this. We are trying to drive a DX250HDV bumblebee which works awesome on another's RCI2980. My other friend's RCI2980 DK's 3 watts swinging 32watts and gets 275 out of the linear. We can only achieve 100-120watts out of the one with a 3watt DK to 7 watt swing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like JJD said, blown final or possibly a bias problem, that is a dual final radio and if both aren't in harmony they will destroy each other.

I have the 2980wx, and it swings around 40w...I don't see anyway to dumb it down to just a 7w swing unless one of the finals is gone.
