Among the follow 4 mics. what are your reviews of them, if you have now, or at one time or another owned one, or have repaired one of these. All mics are 4 pin.

1) Road Pro , 4 pin dynamic CB microphone, model # TM-2002 purchased from a truck stop

2) An old Road king, noise canceling mic. probably 10 yrs old or older, and has a brand new coiled cord.

3) An old Uni-den mic, probably 10 yrs or older, and has a new coiled cord.

4) A super star D M-507-4 mic.

5) Now, if for total cost of $25.00, you had the opportunity, to have a CB shop replace the cord and 'go over' an old mic, would you? and which brand s and model s, would you choose? or what brand s and model s , would stay away from?

That super star /dynamic mic works very well, its also really cheap to buy. I have some very expansive Yaesu Ham radios and I have those /dm 507-4 mics on my FT857, FT897, and my FT991A. These mics prewired for my Ham rigs were had for less the 20 bux shipped and I am sure our sponsors here could help you out as well.
Option 4 is my advice.
CB: TRC-450, Imax
Ham: FTDX101MP, FT-991A ,FT8900-2 meter crossband rig
Ham Antennas: 570', 500', wire loops, 2M Copper Slim Jim X2, CG-144 mobile

CB World has a wide range of microphones for most radios, you should check out their site, (sponsor), GI Joe's has a few as well, (a sponsor too).
