This was a contact with a member here (drdx-a.k.a 198) He was on a cruse ship out around the Bahamas using a radio he took abroad with him and a Wilson antenna....No amp, just a stock cobra radio... Not sure why the video is sideways... it didn't use to be...just tilt your head.

Back in the early 80's, Cobra 142GTL, PDLII, BlackCat 150 amp. I still have this little amp and it still works. England, Greece, South Africa.
I have a better station now, know a bit more about radio, and when conditions are right I can talk all over.

Dx'ing to Australia on 38 lsb...(had one guy in Louisiana who I thought was in Australia because of his accent ) This was 4 years ago this month, and probably only talked to Australia maybe once or twice since...just haven't had conditions in a while down under.
