Carbon Fiber for Antenna Mast?

#39459

Post by Choirboy »

Anyone know where I can get carbon fiber rods for a base antenna mast (1/2" X 8')?

My A-99 is testing the stiffness of the 1/2" EMT that I am currently using  .

Thanks, y'all!

Not sure where to look for one, might try some of the antenna builders sites, Hows that base working out for you after all the problems you went thru getting it set up?

The antenna setup is working great. I'm just trying to fine-tune the engineering of the mast in order to make it foolproof. Next thing is to repace the 148GTL with a more powerful radio :D ....

just purchased a 24 foot fiberglass mass & a 48 foot aluminum mast off ebay.
all are 4 ft stacking mast, very heavy duty stuff...
