Am I that OCD?
Am I the only one that as soon as he receives a old radio, amp.... and it has a 2 prong plug changes it out to a 3 and gets rid of the Death Cap? I always put newly acquired equipment on the test bench and go over it from soup to nuts before plugging in. Is it just me?

Not sure what is referred to as the "Death Cap" but do add a bleeder resistor and a cover switch. Do you fire them up for the first time (in your possession) using a variac? I don't go into any old equipment without probing around with a "Salisbury Stick" first, don't matter how long it's been unplugged.
