MAST for Maco Alpha V58

Looking to mount an antenna to my chimney. The Maco alpha V58 in particular. I'm going to need at least a few feet of mast. I'm even open to raising it up a little higher. I'll strap the mast to the chimney and mount the antenna to the mast.

I've looked around, especially on Amazon, at masts. Many to choose from with mixed reviews. For the most part the masts look like galvanized fence poles but are smaller in O.D.
The O.D. needs to be 1.25".

What have you guys used for your mast?

I like rigid aluminum conduit, can get it from a local electrical supply. It is lighter weight than steel black iron pipe and just as strong. Comes in 10ft lengths with one coupling. I would get enough to go from the ground to above the chimney top using 4 or 6 inch standoffs fastened to the chimney, straps would work too at the top.

If your planing on strapping that antenna around a brick chimney, might want to think twice...Most chimneys are basically just stacked bricks glued together with mortar. (no other support)

High winds or thunderstorms can make for a bad day! Be better to use a tripod screwed down to the roof and leave the chimney for letting smoke out of the fireplace..
