Doesnt look like they are made anymore?
I see used ones online for sale. I like that that they are auto SSB. I'm looking for a smaller amp for my truck that I can hide under the seat. Won't be able to switch in to SSB if its under my seat. Having an auto would be the way to go.
Whats the story on these amps?
History on Palomar amps?

Re: History on Palomar amps?
They are still in business but don't think they make amplifiers anymore or at least don't advertise it, ever since the big FCC crack down (on dealers and manufacturer's) a few years ago. Most of the smaller amps out now are "auto SSB", this is nothing more than a cap that holds the amp in transmit mode a second or 2 longer after unkeying. If you buy one with a switch just leave it "on", won't hurt anything.
