New mic for Unident Washington

#400738

Post by Fisherman100 »

Hi,
I have a Uniden Washington, from the last 80's and I want to add a new mic. I have a Road King 56. Is it possible to wire this mic for that radio. Note that the Uniden must have the mic connected to give sound. If not, what other mic can be good for that radio instead of the stock mic, who sound muffled.
Thank's for help.

I believe the Washington has a 4 pin (standard) connector. So it should be a direct fit. If not, look into a adapter. Can find one pretty cheap, check out our vendors here.

First thing we need to know is which Washington is it, 4pin or 5pin? The Road King should wire up to either, I believe it is the 6 wire version. Get back to us and get the wiring pinout.
