On the anytone at6666 I have the mic gain open I was told low audio so hooked up to a mod meter a lot.of times it shows 50% then the needle flutters then shoots to 100% mic seems to be working and it does 49w on am which the manual says 60w are these trim pots marked for am power and am mod didn't have the covers off yet.Been searching for a chassis pic to get a idea where these pots are at I take it clockwise is the way you turn them.

Almost missed this topic. The modulation can be increased by the menu, I have mine set at "30", think 35 is the top. Once you open it up I would turn the AM wattage down to 1w DK on the knob turned counter clockwise and 10w DK clockwise, it will still swing up to 50w with modulation. I would leave the SSB alone, 60w is plenty for the radio. The pots are clearly marked for function. I'd search the radio for mods and you can find a few here on the forum. There is a mod to increase the cap size at the input power leads and if you use AM a lot a Palomar regulator mod. One thing I have seen with this radio is it doesn't like switching type power supplies but the input cap mod helps it there.

Well dead key set but swings to 35w but on modulation show 50% on my DE-2000 meter and that's with Mic gain on 36 it acts funny it will kind of.flutter at 50% then it will go.to 100% and the trim pot turned can't get.it.to go to 100% like some radios.I ordered a new Mic thought maybe Mic is bad
