Hey guys, I've been looking online and I can't find anything on how to peak and tune this radio. Anyone have any info on it? Thanks.

Is it a USA version or the AM/FM model, they use 2 completely different pcb's. What mods are you looking for? Not too many things I would do to those single final radios, making them too hot will pop the finals in no time.

If you look on the component side of the board just behind the Ex Spkr/PA jacks are 2 or 3 (3 on the AM/FM model) potentiometers for modulation, it is clearly marked for AM, these are the only adjustments on the board, anything else requires soldering a resistor (changing value). Not sure on channels on the USA version about a channel mod.

Just a bit of advise, the new SMT potentiometers turn 360 deg, o stops like older ones so you will need someone telling you it's good or a scope to see it' adjusted higher, and be careful, the new stuff breaks much easier than the old.

10-4, I'll mark the pots with a sharpie so I don't go beyond a full rotation. That's handy to know. Also, the 3 pots are marked W4, W5, and W2 from front of radio to rear (W2 is closest to the pa/ext speaker Jack's) Are all 3 for modulation, or just one? Thanks for your help.

Not sure what "W2" is for, could be PA volume, like I said I took a quick look at the PCB and saw the 3 pots lined up, on a EU board it has a FM adjustment, not on a USA board.

I figured it out, called president for a service manual, which they provided free of charge. W4 is AM carrier and W2 is modulation. Not sure what W5 is, but not important for my needs. Thank you for your help
