CB repair

Has anyone heard of "CB Man" for cb repairs? Is he any good? Is he trusted?

Well I finally found a cb shop 45 minutes away Hope they are good Im a little nervous about it because I know about scams...... They get a lot of good reviews so cross your fingers I want this 99v working

Thank for the reply Jesse, I'm in lower Michigan, I found one 45min drive but they were great i walked in the door told the gentleman what the issue was i waited for it took an hour it was done..... the owner 30years exp. and a super nice lady and the tech has over 50 years experience......

Glad you found a good shop Gunner, makes it worth the drive. Problems with most Galaxy radios are bad solder joints and knowing where they are is half the repair. Years ago I would touch up all the solder tabs before it went out the door.

Yeah I knew about that issue, actually this Cobra 29ltd Im working on had some and one of the copper traces was burnt I had to jump it all is working perfect..... but the Galaxy I don't know why I couldn't find any

Well looks like I got the bad solder joints filled on the 99V, CB ran for 24 hours and no frequency changing stayed on 27.185 and no drift either....so hopefully I'm done with this one....

I would use a pencil's rubber eraser push around the solder side of the board to make sure I got the all. Make sure the chassis screws are snug and check it again when you screw on the case, sometimes it flexes the board causing the problem to come back.

yeah young i did all that already been closed up and running like i said 24 hours now im letting it get chilled over a ac register see if temp change will effect it...thx
