How many hours ?
This may sound stupid but is it OK to have your radio on for long periods of time? Will it cause the life of the radio to be shortened? I work 12 to 14 hours a day and my radio is always on.
No doubt about that! I know I've asked some myself. But, they have all been answered!stickman wrote:THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS HERE. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION I WOULD HAVE TO SAY NO IT WILL NOT HURT THE RADIO, NOW THAT BEING SAID IF YOU WERE TO TALK CONSTANTLY FOR THAT LONG OF A PERIOD (WHICH WOULD PROBABLY BE A WORLD RECORD!ha!ha!) THEN THAT MAY BE A PROBLEM BUT NO.

Yeah, since I'm laid up with a broke leg and haven't been in the big truck for two weeks and will be aleast six more, I really wish I had already set up a base so I would have more to do then just lay around on the couch or surf the net.
Thanks, I wasn't sure and no I don't talk anywhere near that much. But if I'm in my truck I have to have it on. Its getting to the point where I about to bring my Uniden Grant in the house and try to make some kind of base unit out of it.
