So you use that to shoot your wire over, then you can pull your cable up. Good thinking on the hack.
shoot the mono threw the canopy of the tree then attach the Dacron cord to it and pull that threw attach the antenna to the cord I should be around 60-70 feet high....... Just cant decide if I want Inverted V or Sloped ......

Both work equally as well. With the cord as high as possible, I would tie a insulator or pulley to the cord having the wire then drop it vertically to the ground keeping it away from the tree as much as possible. I would try different ways to see which gives me the best signal.

Yeah for the inverted L 1 problem No trees in good location I have a HUGE maple but it 10 feet from the house which I assume will block any TX/RX however Im still working on that...... lol wish I had 600 bux I would just get good vertical antenna and throw it on the Tower Im getting and call it good thank for your input Greg
I use a bow & arrow with a reel tye wrapped to the bow. The arrow is weighted to help gravity pull it down. I can't aim with a sling shot very well and I shoot for the higher limbs. However, the arrow tends to get tangled up in a dense crown more than a slingshot weight.
I found that the tree (pine tree) soon grows over the rope or sweats enough sap to make it very difficult to pull loose after a while. I experiment with antennas often and it seemed like by the time I wanted to try another antenna it the rope was firmly stuck.
Now I pull up a pulley with the antenna rope through it.

Fun ways to do stuff. Nice rig you made.
Thanl You....Didn't take much effort 1 shot hit my mark It was a pine but i was going over a large dead branch so ran it used 2lbs of lead ingots use for bullet molding lol with a pulley as a counter weight .... My buddy gave me a Signal link and cables so when I get my call sign I can get the Ham deluxe software and use my PC and go digital........
Here is the results: 80m 1:6 40m 1:5 30m 2:7 20m 1:6 17m 1:9 15m 1:2 12m 1:3 10m 2:9 pretty good no trimming needed, the internal tuner of the radio will take care of the below 3:1 SWR's Im happy..... and a 5 DB gain over the V58 set at 27mhz
