I've been asked about the Cobra 2000 GTL

Hello all,

I get a lot questions about one of my favorite CB radios, the Cobra 2000 GTL. To help me get started I have added a link that I had made on You Tube 7 years ago. The Cobra is in near-perfect condition with a simple problem.

I used that radio to create a video that explained as much as I could about the 2000. I make suggestions. I point out that I always use a regulated Power Supply rather than plugging it into 110 volts AC. (Unlike other base Stations, the 2000's neutral side is broken for OFF). It is an area of Caution around the ON/OFF switch when on AC. DC is safe.

I will be back before Easter. I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed making.

I wish to thank Bozo for finding my old Banner and setting it up. I do have a colorized version that will be uploaded soon.

The Man Holding the CB Radio is not ME!!!

He is a former partner and friend, John (AKA J.R.) He is older than I am, but Kinda always looked like that.

I can't believe Bozo still had that old eBay AD. It was poorly done, but I did get to show off one of the best 2000's in prime condition. A note: I no longer have that website, eBay account or any link on the page. I see I had one typo (Advice misspelled).

I meant to say "One Thousand Hertz" not One thousand K Hertz. And AC not AM. My next video will be much better. I hope to get some posts in before Saturday night.
Respectfully as always,

Rick

Nice Rick.!!
It's always good practice to DC power so you can look at current while repairing... I use a LINEAR POWERED 2 channel DC supply 0-30v 10A.
Welcome back..it's great to see you here !
