I recently acquired a Yaesu FT-102 w/am-fm board, MFJ Deluxe Versa Tuner II Model MFJ-949C(Unused in box), and a di-pole antenna. Considering selling rig, or modifying for 11 meter use, but need a mike. Previous owner only used for CW.
Am preparing to assemble a quad beam setup for 11 meters from parts of several old quad antennas that I have taken down or bought in past years.

I just bought an old GE Model 3-5810B 23 channel. I figured I'd stick it in my old truck for emergency purposes, etc.
I also have an old Robyn WV-23 which I thought I might put in my car.
And I have an old Johnson Viking 4740 40 channel side band that I wanted to set up as a base. However, it does not power up. Do you think it might be worth investing in to check it out?

Tuned myself (aka power down adjustment and up with mod for w/ amp use) and easily converted running a second hand Turner Plus 3 on it running off a 23 amp switched supply and a cobra 350 2 x2879 running off a 50 amp switched supply. Not my first 2950 but digging the new display.
Dont have a permanent setup yet. Sharing space with wifes computer. Lol.

Just got a tinySA spectrum analyzer for $60 So far what I like best is the ability to produce a tone on pretty much any modulation to see if a radio can hear and if it is on frequency. Also got the nanoVNA pretty nifty tools about the size of a cigarette pack compared to what I used to use URM-25

Woohoo yard sales are hot again this year.just picked up a ham international multimode 3 for ten bucks.Have never heard of them, has some odd features compared to other radios, like a off switch for the clarifier?I have trying been trying to find a user manual but all I can find is service manuals for making changes to the radio?Anyone know if that's all there is?Could someone maybe tell me what the switch that says 0.5,4w,comp on is? I get the first 2 settings are output power but what the heck is comp on?
I didn't do it! I just resemble that guy

Just ordered this earlier today. Hope to have it by the weekend. It's gonna be replacing a home built wire dipole. And i hope to be able to get it in the attic. That would put it close to 20 ft.
