CBTricks and related resources

I am trying to build a collection of material related to CB radio. As everyone here likely knows, CBTricks is down, probably for good this time. Unlike many others, I mirrored their entire site for non-profit reasons (as it was, after all, primarily member-donated material), not to create a clone site and charge people like so many out there are currently doing. Unfortunately, my mirror of the site does not include the forum content as I forgot to log in using the mirroring software I had used at the time. I have the entire site intact, just not the forum portion.. If anyone has a mirror of the forum content, I would love to hear from you via private message. And if you know how to contact the person who owns the real CBTricks, I would love to reach out the them directly. Anything that leads to keeping that treasure chest of user-donated information alive, I would like to be an active part of it. Thanks!

It’s not an up to date but I believe it is up to 2015.

Thanks for the reply. As mentioned in my original post, I do already have that entire site (minus the forum content) on my local hard drive exactly as it was before it went down. It is the forum content I am looking for as I have checked that archive site (and two others similar to it that also host a copy) and none of them have the forum content.

I reached out to the owner of CB tricks a few months back and I got his son asked he is taking over the website but you didn't seem too friendly or wanting to talk about the website or the data. I was just going to offer my help and he hung up the phone on me. I think they were intending to who the site data and files to WordPress...

I would give you his phone number but I don't think he wants to be contacted the way he treated me.

Thank you trying to contact them. I can sort of understand why they are not being friendly with that other site cloning their content then charging people for it (I am referring to cb-tricks, not the real cbtricks). I can only hope they don't dump the data though. I know many people who would help them in any way they could to keep the site alive. I even know a guy with a private server that might be willing to help if that's what it took. If they treated you that way on the phone, however, they probably do not want their private number shared. The respectful thing to do there is share that with nobody, no point in fanning the flames. I hope people like me who downloaded the site are not the cause of the problem (although I did not do it for profit, I did it in fear of this happening again). If downloading 9GB screwed things up for them with their hosting provider, I would happily make that right! All they would need to do is let me know.

It has been years that their forum was not been new taking registrations, once I get my computer back up I’ll try to see if I can still access it, I joined there about the same time I did here among many other radio related sites.
