Cobra 21x 23 channel
I have a cobra 21x 23 channel and would like to change it over to a 40 channel it has the 858 pll chip in it what all do I need to change it over thank you all very much

That radio came out just before the change to 40 channels in 1977, in the box there was a certificate to have it changed for free, shipping included. Changing it to 40+ channels is just a matter of adding switches just like making the 40 channel radio mod, only difference is that radio has a 23 channel dial so it would be harder to see where you are frequency wise.
