Thanks for the pics, it looks original, don't see any rework done. These amps should last a long time as long as it's not beat to death with high input wattage or bad SWR. A nice clean input will equal a clean output.

Yes Chris is building under the Dave Made NJ name with Dave's blessing. Chris is the same guy who builds the Shockwave antenna and used to build amps and power supplies under the BMI name..Chris also owns and operates the website RF JUNK .He is a talented builder. I have several of his boxes and several other pieces of equipment he built for me..

Well, this amp situation or transaction with Chris Smit "davemadeNJ" "Shockwave" has sort of taken a bad turn.. this amp had some problems so i sent back for warranty work a few days after i received it which was about 2 months ago. he says he made a couple tweaks and has shipped it back and as of yet hasnt provided a tracking # and gives the runaround or just plain doesnt respond.. i have all evidence, will be making a paypal purchase protection claim soon. more to come...

I use to own several DM box's, but they were ones built by Joe in NC...never had any issues with them either, they did exactly what they were suppose to do. (4 pill, 8-pill, and 16-pill...think there was a 2 pill in there too at one point) :-D

However, now I buy Hopper Built Amps, and no issues with them either...Main reason for going with Hopper Built now, is because turn-around time is allot faster than with the Daves, and allot easier to deal with the builder...

Check'em out on fb.

Hello,

Your amp schematics are a very nice apportion to this forum.

I'm interested in what happened with this case/repair, could you update?

Also, could someone explain me what is this "feedback" system they are using? It looks like they coil one wire between the 2 transformers and use a 100 ohm resistor?

Thanks
