Line X
I have a 2006 crew cab Chevy running a 2x8. I’m considering doing a line-X coating to the whole truck. Is this going to cause swr and reflect issues? Thanks

Hmm, this is a interesting question. I don't see where it would be a problem as it will be the same ground plane the existing antenna is using, only covered now by a thick material. I never looked at the ingredients of Line X, is there any metal fiber possible, I believe it is fiberglass. I would watch where it antenna is and not use the Line X coating, keep a good ground.

my guess is on the "reflect" aspect of receive, your going to hear a bit less static, not as noticable, but just enough to make you think about it, for example, driving near a high voltage source you have less buzz
