want to mount my sirio tornado on my tower qith my A-99
I would like some info on whether mounting my sirio tornado ant on my tower can be done while leaving my A-99 mounted on the same tower? and if so, how far apart do they need to be?

Doubt that's going to work, unless you get them 10-15' apart without one interfering with the other...not sure why you would want two vertical 11 Meter ground planes on the same tower to start with either...
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Instead of the Tornado, look at a 3 or 4 element beam from Sirio, they are just a little more than the Tornado. Mount it under the A-99 horizontally. The only other expense is a good rotor.

I ended up taking the A-99 down, and put the Tornado on about 15 feet of mast on top of the 40-foot tower, the problem now is the high winds we get in the U.P. the wind has snapped off the top of the tornado,(the small diameter rod that looks like the 4 ground plane things ) so that antenna is pretty much done , until spring or summer when I can drop the tower back down and decide what I want to do with the Sirio
, I'm very disappointed with this and will probably look for something else. I really liked that antenna until this happened , and all the work it will cause. That antenna really gets out good .

I tell everyone I know - when they get a Sirio antenna (indoor use only - lol) to snip off the top ball and find a nice red or black rubber cap for the top of the now plenty strong enough rod, needing about 3" - 5" more Rod extended to make up for the loss of their ball.
If the most important part of a station is the Antenna then why do so many people spend thousand$ on equipment but only hundred$ on their Antenna system?

Great info and idea,
I plan to look into a beam made by sirio also since I have to drop.this tower down this late spring once our mud season is over here in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Thanks for your help and response

You could try an antenna coupler ("Tuner") and force it to radiate, should perform about like a MACO V58

I decided not to use the A-99 after all, was originally thinking it maybe a good way to test one against the other. You mentioned the maco V-58 , is that a good or bad compairison?
?
