Help with a president Ronald

Need help with my president ronald someone surged power through the fuse holder and now I can hear it turn on but can't get the display to work as in not lighting up. Nothing smells burnt and smoke wasn't coming out of the case

There is 2 "Ronald" versions, which is it? When you say surged, do you mean volted or hooked up backwards?

It's the compact import version. I believe that the power wire hit the ground wire from how it was explained to me.

I would guess it was hooked up backwards so there is a diode on the PCB that is probably blown. It should be located right where the power leads are connected to the board.

"Hearing it turn on"? Does this mean it is receiving or you just hear a click?
