Galaxy Saturn problems...

A friend of mine has a Saturn that has no lighting of the freq counter and the channel selector...Both are out, Is the radio fixable or trash can? Thanks guys!

More info please. Does it power up, just no lights? Can you hear anything? What happens when you key the mic? If it's just a couple of bad LED's, it's definitely worth saving.

Clean Squelch/PA knob. Seen this happen on several old Saturn type radios.

After cleaning that control knob, flip it out of PA mode by turning squelch knob clockwise slightly til it clicks out of PA mode.

I stated this before over the years, never toss an old radio unless it has been scalped of all useable parts and there is nothing left. If you want to get rid of it, post it in the for sale section for just postage, someone will take it off your hands.

You ain't gonna believe, but I ended up with the Saturn, first thing I did was pull the fuse off the back, flipped it and stuck in back in...All lights are back...Weird huh??
