gray G-100 amplifier
Hello there, I'm new to this forum and I have a Gray G-100 amplifier good transistors, but it's only putting out 70 watts on high on low on AM and SSB. Anybody got any ideas?

Here's some troubleshooting ideas...
Check Power Supply Voltage: Ensure it's correct and stable.
Inspect Connections: Secure and in good condition.
Antenna System: Properly matched and working.
SWR Check: Measure and ensure it's within limits.
Bypass Capacitors: Check for damage.
Transistor Biasing: Verify correct biasing.
Driver Stage: Ensure it's functioning correctly.
Internal Components: Inspect and replace faulty parts.
Relay Contacts: Clean if dirty or corroded.
Cooling System: Ensure it's working properly.

Welcome to the forum. There are so many factors in getting a correct power reading, SWR, coax, antenna or dummy load, etc. I will say that sounds about right on output, usually on the "high" setting with 4 watts input, it won't have very much swing modulation, on "low" the output is lower but swings more giving the radio better modulation.
Gray made very good amplifiers in the day but I will conclude that amp is over 50 years old.
