Got A New Toy! The Air Cannon!

We went to a park and launched our antennas up into a 100 foot tree for temporary setup! Took one shot and we were in business pulling up our dipole antenna in no time at all. The only thing to watch out for is the park rangers. People love to run to them when they don't have a clue what's going on. It's best fire it up when no one is around. :pirat:

I have always wanted to build one but not for shooting a string to pull an antenna, would probably use it for that though. I have dozens of squirrels and would like to use it for shooting peanuts at them. Might be a project for this winter.

It's a good little project. I could have used a tennis ball with a weight inside but decided to use a small PVC with caps on the ends along with one hook as the projectile. We do a lot of portable work out in the field so the air cannon was the way to go for getting antennas up real high over the trees.
