Anytone 6666 CRT9900 RX AGC mod ?

listening on SSB on these things is poor because the AGC is so fast the noise jumps up inbetween words of whoever you're listening to.
i always knock the RF gain back on these sets as they seem to have a lot of front end gain too, which makes this AGC 'pumping' even worse.

does anyone know how we can slow the time constant down on SSB please ?

I never found a way to use the AGC on SSB, it depends on a carrier (AM or FM) to keep it on while talking. I just turn it off.

Hi Greg, it's far too fast, listening to the set on SSB is awful, i just turn the RF gain down. even my old 1980s Cobra sounds better !
