Hi,
Can anybody touch on this subject for me. I once owned a Cobra 148nwstwx a few years ago but, since then have sold it. Are the new Cobra 148gtl's as good in quality and durability. And if so who would you recommend in buying one from. Thank you.
Are the new 148's as a good as the Cobra 148nwstwx

A reliable tech I talked to recently said that the quality of the new Cobras is not as good as the old ones since Uniden doesn't make them anymore. Personally, I can't say, having older Cobras.
Sparky's on this site has a pretty good rep with Cobras. I'd check with Al at Sparky's and see what he recommends. And mention to the site's sponsors that you're a CBRT forum member.
And BTW, welcome to the Forum!!
