eliminating engine noise.

I have a ton of engine noise on my radio (galaxy 929, 102" whip on 6"spring wired to the fuse box mounted under dash) I know the interferance is coming in through my coax because when I let the truck run and turn on the radio and unhook the coax the noise disappears. So, how do I get rid of this horrible noise?

try this first
remove radio lead from fuse box

run direct to battery both pos and neg wires

what kind of coax?

I'm having the same issue. I talked to Radio Active and he thinks it's in my coax. He has a good coax that he thinks will do the trick. You can read about it on his website.

yeah yeah, my dad was with me (I'm only 16) I was going to get some from RA but he insisted I but it right away. He just grabbed the first package he saw too. He is very stubborn...

nothing wrong with that
just need pointers and that's why we are here to help out
might try some 213
works real well helps knock out engine noise and
also the ends of the coax need to be soldered

the center conductor and the shield need to be soldered
run a flat ground strap from the shield where its bolted to mount and metal to the chassis the big metal
not the bed of truck

hope this helps
