Keydowns?

Pardon my ignorance, but how exactly do keydowns work? I've never been in on one or seen one go down so please be detailed if you can.

Well simply put you line up next to your opponent,wait for the signal(if in a structured event usually someone will be there to wave you on ,if your foolin around among friends usually the judge will ready set go you over the air}the judge is the one whos gonna tell you who came out on top.And you fire up everything you got and try hollar over your opponent.I have been to structured keydowns but never competed,have had several keydowns with friends though,won some and lost some,thats just the way it goes Shawn
