Antenna Switch

Post by 38Special »

I got a new "SkyThumper" antenna switch from Sparky's CB Shack last week for my base station. I'm impressed with the quality! Extra heavy duty, 2000 watt capability, 3-500 Mhz, with decent connectors on the ends. I hooked it up and there is "zero" insertion loss. Decent price, just what I needed.

I've made several purchases from other places (I won't name) and get junk. 50% of the stuff I order I'm disappointed with and is junk quality, that I won't even use it. Recently I puched a 90 degree connector that didn't even have continuity through the center. What do you do with crap like this? (I threw it into the woods) It costs even more to return it! However, I've had several transactions with Sparky's and he sells quality stuff. I just thought I'd mention somebody is doing something right for a change!
(Thanks Big Bopper for recommending him!!!!!!!!!)

Yup... Al at Sparky's gave me some great deals, and great service. Now the stuff just needs to get here!!! He pulled a slick one on me though and discounted some items I was contemplating so low I HAD to buy them!

Thanks Sparky.

Over 30 years on the radio, I have and still see smoke and mirrors by dealers, my first purchase with Sparky's was a switch for me he SAVED me money on a radio & antenna setup, when I got the radio it talked very good, because Sparky's Aligned and tuned the radio, at no extra charge,,,and AL builds ABSOLUTE LOUDEST, MOST POTENT, HIGHEST SWINGING RADIOS ON THE AIR FOR THEIR CLASS!! And Al GUARANTEES IT!!!

I have never meet Al, he lives in another state, but I know good service and he is a great tech, best I have seen in years,

Same thing just happened to me!!! Drove 30 miles to the closest CB dlr (Rat Shack) and that is what I ended up with. Got a good amphenol 90 deg from a ham buddy I know 1 mile away. Wish I'd thought of him first.

Thanx,
Ronnie
