I have only had my SWP 2995DX set up less than a week, and the radio is doing a great job. As usual Mike at RA did a great job on this station, as I am getting great local reports.

I have talked skip a couple of times New Mexico, Antigua, West Indies. That's cool, hope to catch some of you guys (on the DX) in the future.

hey road, had my 2995dx from ra less than a week and it pretty much puts my galaxy 95t2 to shame. well,i like the 95t2 but the ra built 2995dx flat walks the dog. the 95t2 swings to 165 to 180 depending on which power supply i use.... the ra 2995dx swings darn near to 250 0n my astatic 600 meter set. say road on your rf power. hows your dead key SET:?: mine is 18 watts lowest and 40 watts at full power. THEN SHE SWINGS. IF YOU READ THIS MIKE AT RA IS THIS ABOUT RIGHT.???? THE BUSMAN.

Busman,

That sounds about right. I have a cheap Rat Shack SWR/Power meter, and I am not sure how accurate it is, it has 3 settings 20/200/2000 so when you are on the 200 scale it is hard to tell, but I figure it is around DK is around 20 on low and around 40 on high. I run it on low, and man does it swing and people says it sounds better like that. Acts like it wants to bend the needle on the radio's meter. It is doing a great job (cant's expect anything less out of RA)

I've had my 2995dx for going on over a year now. I actually won it on the raffle here. Thanks Bozo!

Anyway, I've had nothing but EXCELENT reviews of the sound of that radio.

yah road, i run mine on low to. it swings to the same place. :D that ra 2995dx is a needle bending fool. i love that thing. its my prize possion. one of these days im gonna send mike at ra my galaxy 95t2 to do the swp and super receive on it.i do miss the echo and talk back that the 95t has. got the echo just on a hair and it sounds great. i got me a diamond antenna switch from universal radio and run it backwards to hook up 3 radios to one antenna.(buy a GOOD antenna switch, the cheap ones raise the swr). that way i can use both of my rigs. my 95t is my utility radio and my ra built 2995dx is my going to town-special ocasion radio   oh, i got a astatic 600 meter set and its pretty good. you can get one for around a 100$ from one of the sponsers on here. its no bird but its good quality and costs 4 times less. ive been buying all my stuff from the sponsers of this forum and have had good luck with all ive dealt with. enough rambleing. the busman (190 ssb)

There's a 2995DX for sale on Ebay right now. I'm the top bidder at the moment, but with the amount of time left until the auction ends, I'm sure I'll be outbid. I'd love to win it, but if I do not, then oh well! :-)

$250 is a pretty good price for now. :-) Hopefully someone will outbid me so I don't have to buy it. I would hate to turn around and send it to you, and then put it back on the shelf in storage. 8)
