Lets say a person wanted to talk mostly on CB and had a Ranger 2990,
Since the radio "will" talk on CB if the person turned down the output they could talk on CB,
With that said would a person who basically talks CB be better off selling the 2990 and getting a 2980?
No i had a 2990 and it did fine on CB. i talk to the guy who has it now every nite still doing fine . when you say " output" do you mean dk. or swing ?
Why sell the 2990 and go back to the 2980?? The '90 is a great radio! Had one a few years back, until a small electrical fire (I had an old Varmint burn up on me) relocated my family for a bit. I really miss that old radio. Radios, fire and firefighters do not mix well.
