Radio power for power mike?

Radio power for power mike?
I have a 2970dx that has 8volts(pin 4) going to the stock mike for the channel switching. Would I be able to use this 8v to power the mike and not have to use the 9v battery? I sure like the stock channel selector and would like to get a mike that could do it all. Was looking at the DM452.

49, go to the cb city web site here. they are one of the sponsers. i got me a rci 2995dx that i ordered a turner telex rk-56 mic from them and they offer that model on there site with the custom instalation of the up-down buttons for the 6 pin rci line. i love mine. its slick and they did a bang up job. i never could get there online order site to work but just give them a call.
