Sounds like some of my "home folk" on the radio
What part of the South are you in?
Mai Chez,
I wuz born an raised in Scott, LA.
I know you know where dat is!
If I tole you wut my last name wuz, yewd fall out yo' chair!
But, I moved to Indiana 5 years ago. Now I am a prim and proper person of Acadian descent.
Don't try to fool me on the "deep in the swamps" business, I'll tell you out!

I also went to Scott Middle! I was in the last class, in the old "non-air conditioned building". I attended Carencro High from 1982-1986. My childhood home is near the KOA campground in Scott.
I was born and raised there, and I didn't leave till I was 33 years old. Where the hell is GRAND BOIS (BIG WOODS)?
Man you must be in the boonies!
Are you one of those Cajun's that has to use a pirogue to get to Wal-Mart?
For all you Yankees, a pirogue is a like a flat bottom canoe.
Don't give away your exact location, just give me a rough idea where Grand Bois is. My guess would be toward the Breaux Bridge area?

Raging Cajun
Hello Snake & all Southern Louisiana Friends.
I know the language & hear the message. Some pretty cool replies. I am originally born & raised in New Orleans, joined the Marine Corps in 1951, retired in 1973, been in Phoenix Arizona since. Got relatives all over the State. Go back once a year to celebrate Mom's birthday, 96 this month. Mean while......... some one says it snows in Indiana, keep the coax warm. Guess swamp gas may be better than snow on antenna's.
