Well I want to say thanks to everyone for their help and input, deciding on what radio to buy.So this is what I have coming.
I bought this from Redman radio is a
Cobra 142 GTL Base CB

Clean. Some small nics about front edge otherwise great physical condition.

Works 100 % .Keys 4 watts swings 15 AM,

20 watts SSB . and I also bought a new Astatic d 104m6b power mic to go with it,I am looking forward to be able to use this radio ,It also has ssb which I never had in the past. Now I just have to pick up a decent base antenna I am thinking about going with a A 99,Thanks again everyone, David

Try to find a used Imax 2000 antenna instead of the A-99.

When I lived with my parents that is the exact same set up I had and I talk to Melbourne and Sidney AUS. and Nome, Alaska. Man I would love to have that set up again, because it was cheap.
